Peace of Mind - $30

Well, we went to the doctor at the JAARS clinic. The appointment was $30. For that $30 we got peace of mind, praise the Lord!

Derek was not dehydrated. The doctor said he probably just finally feels bad after a week of his symptoms. He said that it does appear to be a virus, and there doesn't seem to be any other "dangerous" things going on. Yea!

He told us we were doing everything right & to keep doing it. (Doesn't that make you feel good when you get an "official" pat on the back?) =0)

He said that he probably doesn't even have the virus anymore, but instead Derek's system is probably just irritated and inflamed. He said if we did nothing, he'd recover just fine. He did give us a Rx for something that will help calm his gastrointestinal system down and hopefully make the symptoms go away. Thankfully, it was only $12 and some change. I think we might actually give him some. Based on what I told him about the other kids, he told me I could give it to them, too, if their symptoms continued. We may just do that. At least one dose. (You know how I hate drugs... but sometimes they just might be necessary.)

He was surprised that Dano & I had not gotten sick. He still thinks we might... but we're hoping he's wrong! =0)

So... as you pray, please pray for all symptoms to be gone from all kids, and pray for Dano & me to stay healthy! Next week is Thanksgiving and Dano's father & step-mother are supposed to be coming here!

PS My Daddy made it home safely and we think he's escaped the results of the virus, too! PTL!
