Our five year old comes up with some funny things.
Sunday in church as they were passing the offering plate, he suddenly said, "Oh, I have some money to give." Knowing I didn't give him any money, I thought maybe Dano or his Sunday school teacher had given him something. Well, he reached down in his church bag & pulled out a five dollar bill and proudly put it in the plate as it passed. Now I was confused. I asked him where he got that money. He said, "I got it out of my piggy bank!" Then even more proudly he said, "I gave my Abraham Lincoln!" I don't even know if he knows how much it was or not... or just WHO it was. I was proud of him though for being generous and being a cheerful giver! We can all learn from that one, huh?
Now his second funny was today. First, let me tell you my kids LOVE to draw. They could go through a ream of paper in a day if they had free access to it! So... Derek asked for a piece of white paper (from the computer printer). I told him no. Then he said (seriously, I think), "Well, can I have a copy of one?" hee hee He really is a brilliant kid... but he's a jokester, too! So when he says something like this, you sometimes wonder if he's serious or not!
I posted these on facebook, too, but I thought some of you who aren't on facebook might enjoy a chuckle!
Have a great Thursday!
Blessings,
Melinda =0)
