We have GREAT NEWS!! As our support has been coming in, getting closer and closer to our goal… we’ve been given permission to apply for our Visas to Southeast Asia in January! Woohoo! This makes it all so REAL! If all goes as “planned,” we hope to be ready to leave early April 2011!! Thank you for your SPECIAL gifts to our SPECIAL accounts! We have 82% of our Overseas Set-up Account!! We have 76% of our Language Study and Orientation Account!! Our Visas do add an extra expense that is not calculated into either of these accounts. Please pray that God would provide the extra funds needed for the visas in addition to the rest of the funds we need to leave.
Thank you to each of you who faithfully give each month! This is the backbone of our ministry! Without your FAITHFUL gifts, we could not serve (or go grocery shopping!)!! =0) Your faithfulness is such an encouragement to us!!
As we all prepare to celebrate the birth of our Savior, our family is also preparing to celebrate the birthday of Dano & Wesley this month! Dano is turning 40!! Wesley is turning 4!! [We actually celebrated these last week.] As I think back to the time of Wesley’s birth and what a special time it was, I can’t help but think of Mary’s anticipation of giving birth to her first child. However, I can’t even imagine how she must have felt knowing that her son was going to change the world, that her son was the long awaited Messiah coming to save the world, that her son was not just going to be a precious baby boy, but he was going to be FULLY God! This is such a beautiful truth… one that I cannot fully comprehend, BUT one that I can fully embrace and receive! I am so thankful for this FREE gift from God. We are EAGER to share this gift with others who have never even HEARD the Christmas story! Our prayer is that each of YOU have also received and fully embraced this GIFT! May our daily lives be changed by doing so. May we be fully reliant on HIM. May we EAGERLY share HIS LOVE and GRACE with others. May our lives be DIFFERENT from the World that does not know Him nor embrace Him! MERRY CHRISTMAS!! Thank you for allowing us to share this GIFT on the other side of the world!
On a ministry front: God has provided for Dano’s tools & tool box to be shipped in a yearly shipment from JAARS to our new entity in Southeast Asia! Dano is currently preparing them for this shipment! So when we reach our final destination overseas, Dano’s tools will be there waiting for him to begin working on the aircraft right away! They are eagerly awaiting Dano’s arrival! There is a great need for his skills!
Please continue praying for healing for Wesley’s eczema. He had a HORRIBLE outbreak just as we were thinking how much better he was doing. We have gone back to the allergist to make sure we aren’t missing something. He has further testing on December 21st. [This has been rescheduled for the 23rd because the doctor was sick.]
