Virginia's First Haircut

Virginia turned 2 last month, and I decided she needed a haircut this past Monday... not so much because of her age, but because of the way her hair looked!  You'll see some "before" shots below.  She had some unusual hair!

She was our only child to be born with a LOT of hair (at least comparatively speaking), but as usually happens... most of it fell out.  However, she did manage to hang on to some long straight hairs around the top which have just continued to grow.  When her other hair came in, it has that sweet baby curl to it... BUT it was hard to see because this strange straight hair kept it covered... but just kind of sat on top of the curls for a not so cute look.  =0)  So I always tried to pull it back (the straight part) or blend it in... not very successfully!  =0)  So when the other girls and I were going to get our hair cut, I decided Virginia was going, too.  I wanted those long straight hairs cut!  =0)  See the before and after below!  I was thrilled!  And Virginia was GREAT!  Like she was there for the 15th time and knew exactly what to do!

If I had known how much better it would look after a haircut, she'd had her first haircut a long time ago!!  Now we can see her cute curls!!  =0)
